Pictures never do any justice... My hair was kind of wind blown back so it got under my bangs, and I can hide it easily. Some of my longer hair was infront of my jacket and the ends got singed together. So I will definitely need a hair cut, but it didn't do as much damage as I thought, or as it could have done. My eyebrows and my eyelashes are a tad bit shorter now, but again - nothing I can't handle. I am just grateful that it didn't do anymore damage. Yikes!

That plan backfired... literally!

Look who's TWO!
Little Sawyer turned 2! I’m pretty sure she didn’t have a
clue as to why she got spoiled that day… but we spoiled her anyway! We started
our birthday celebration off by going swimming at the Powell Aquatic Center. My
girls have really started enjoying swimming, so we try to go as much as we can!
Then as we had to rush home to get Lauren to the bus, Sawyer and I relaxed
until Lauren got home. When it was time we headed out to my mom’s house to get
the party started! I decided to do a Blue’s Clues party for her because she
loves the show Blue’s Clues! (But then again, I could have done anything and
she would have loved it!) And when I say I did a Blue’s Clues party the only
thing Blue’s Clues at the party was the cake… and some of the presents! Haha! I
think it is so fun when people go all out and decorate, but with my kind of
procrastination… things like that don’t happen!
Anyways, our kind of family parties go a little like this;
eat some yummy food along with some awesome cake (made by Grandma Debbie), and
open presents!
Some of our party guests!! (Doesn't Lila look fabulous!)
The Blue's Clues cake! Grandma Debbie always does an amazing job. The frosting on this cake was. simply. AMAZING.
The birthday girl with her cake!
She wasn't so sure about the candle's, but she did try to blow them out!!
Benson and Sawyer fighting over Blue!
Time to open presents!! She didn't really want to open them, so we had Ben and Lauren show her how it was done. They were more than happy to help her out!
(do you like me wrapping paper?! With my kind of procrastination, you wrap the presents at the last minute with the wrapping paper that you have in your house. And the only wrapping paper in my house is Christmas!!)
Sawyer got a handy dandy notebook that she loved!
She got lots of fun presents. This bear bag was filled with about 8 little babies, she was in heaven!
Who doesn't love a camera! Sawyer new just what to do with it! She was telling everyone to say cheese!
Sawyer worn out from all the present opening had to come back to the table for another round of cake! That's my girl!
She was showing me Blue!
We had such a great day with our birthday girl! I cannot believe how fast she is growing!

Lauren Funnies!
Lauren has a loft bed, and to her advantage there is some
storage space above her bed that she can keep her ‘special stuff.’ (We are all
in one bedroom, so the storage space is like her room... needless to say, it
gets pretty cluttered!) She is
usually very protective of her stuff, and I don’t usually let Sawyer on Lauren’s
bed because I don’t want to have to worry about her falling off! Anyway! One
day while Lauren was at school, I walked into the bedroom to find…
Sawyer was in heaven! It reminded me of the movie Home Alone
when Kevin was in Buzz’s room saying “Buzz I’m going through all your stuff….” Yada
yada yada!
When Lauren got home that afternoon I showed her the picture
of Sawyer up on her bed. She looked at the picture and smiled (because I think
she thought it was a picture of her at first) and then her expression changed
to horror! She just realized that Sawyer had been on her bed! Lauren looked at
the picture and looked at her bed, she ran to her bed and started franticly
checking everything to make sure things were in there place! I assured Lauren
that Sawyer didn’t take anything; however, she was still concerned!
Next time Sawyer gets on her bed, I think it will be our little secret ;)
Peaceful
Some days are crazy/jumbled up/cranky/want them to be over days! Then somedays we all get along, and we have really good days!
This was a good day!
It warms my heart to be able to sit back and relax and watch these two beauties play and have a good day!
Just another day... and I remembered my camera!
It’s so nice to have a park 1 block from our house (we
really don’t go as much as we should though!!) Just a few pictures to capture
the fun we had that evening J
Did Sawyer need to be caught? No. Did Lauren insist on "helping" her?! Yes!
Sawyer loves to swing/hang on anything and everything!
Oh the things you learn from your big sister!
First Day of Preschool
She wrote it all by herself! (with a little help from whiteout, we made it work!)
The bus comes to Byron at 12:55, and 12:55 could not come quick enough for miss Lauren! At about 12:20 I decided I couldn't take it any longer and we started walking to the bus stop! We got there and still had lots of time to spare, but Lauren informed Sawyer and I that we should help her look for her bus!
Lauren waiting impatiently patiently at the 1st bus stop!
We played around there for a few minutes, and then I decided to walk to the next bus stop (where the bus stops first) because Lauren needed something to distract her!
As we were walking she saw the bus! She wanted to jump out of the stroller and run, but I did contain her! She was SO excited and it was hard to even grab a picture of her because she wanted to get on the bus!
She got on! She was off!
When we went to pick her up from the bus stop, she got off the bus and looked a little tired and red. When she saw me she said "I am a little tired mom, and really hot!" Apperantly the bus was hot that day! She told me all about school and her favorite part was that they got "mail" to bring home! We sat in the van for a while while she told me about school and then we headed home. When we got home she but her backpack up and went and sat on the couch and said "mom, I need some juice, it was a hard day at preschool today!" Right, Lauren!! (She woke up a lot earlier than she usually does because she was so excited about school, so I think she was just tired!)
Silly Story - The preschool teacher's name is Mrs. Richards and her aid is Mrs. Peck.
So when Lauren was telling me about school she said I think there are two Mrs. Richards, and I told you probably are thinking about Mrs. Peck, she agreed!
Then she was telling Erik about her teachers and said Mrs. Peckards! Lauren knew that didn't sound right and she looked at me, so I reminded her Mrs. Richards and Mrs. Peck!!
