Catching Up!

So my first attempt to write this post didn't go over very well because i was almost finished and the power went out.. So here is round 2 (hope you enjoy)! I wasn't exactly sure what to write, but i really wanted to get a post in to make my page look a little less plain.. so i will just give you a brief history of Erik and I!

We met when Madison and Michael set us up on a blind date, and i guess they made a good match because we have been together ever since! We dated for a year and then he asked me to marry him on April 24, 2007 (the only reason i remember this date is because i think of the movie miss congeniality, and how they ask one contestent what she thought the perfect date was, and she said April 25 because it's not to hot and it's not to cold, all you need is a light jacket!!)

This picture was taken when we were driving up to billings the night he proposed to me! We were going to billings to celebrate our one year dating anniversary(cheesy i know, but very cute at the time!) Before we left for Billings my roommate Rayann was like he is going to ask you to marry him, and i was like no way. I was going to say something to Erik about it, just teasing him(but i am glad i didn't!!) We didn't really have much planned for the night, just to eat at Texas Road House. So we were at the mall before we ate, and Sami VanLake called me while we were in the Buckle trying on pants and said that my brother Jake had just asked Kandace to marry him. So i had no clue that Jake was even thinking about that and it was a HUGE surprize to me so i was so excited and when i was telling Erik, i didn't know if he was acting funny because i was making a fool of my self in the Buckle because i was so excited and LOUD, or if he just wasn't that excited.. stay tuned because i find out why he was acting so funny! So we get out of the Buckle and we might have done somemore shopping i don't remember, i just remember being so HAPPY for my brother. Then we got to Texas Road House and we had just ordered our food and my brother Jake calls me (i had to act surprized because Sami wasn't supposed to tell me they were engaged, but that was no problem for me because i was so excited for him still!!) But anyways i made a fool out of myself again in Texas Road House because i didn't realize this but i was talking WAY to loud!! So anyways we ate our food, and then Erik said he wanted to find a park, and it wasn't weird to me because he has always liked parks. So we found a park, and we got out and just started walking around, and Erik was being wierd and he wasn't really talking, so i decided i wanted to kiss him and i started leaning in, and right at that time he was grabbing for the ring in his top pocket of his vest (so he couldn't really be smooth about it because i ruined it by leaning in) but he got the ring out (with no thanks to me!) and he got down on one knee and said will you marry me!!! I bet you can guess what i said!! YES!

Then about 4 months later we were married on September 8, 2007!

Things have just been moving right along for us because i am expecting a little one any time now!! I say little one because i don't know what that is. That is ONLY because Erik wanted it to be a surprize, so here i sit for 9 months not knowing what i am carrying!! It has been torture not knowing, but i think it will be fun to hear the doctor say ITS A boy/girl!! I really don't have any clue what i will be having, earlier on in my pregnancy i thought it was a boy, but now i have NO clue what so ever. So stay tuned and i will let ya know! My due date is June 30th, and my ultrasound said July 5th, so i will just have to hurry up and wait! Here are the first pictures of our baby..

Erik and I are living in Byron right now in his Uncle's house (who lets us stay there rent free!!) It is small and with a new addition it might get crammed but we can do it!

I am working at Smooth Edge as a secretary in Powell, it is a cabinet, flooring, countertop place. I will quit when i have the baby, and have the summer to get to know it! Then i will be going back to school in the fall (mostly online classes) working get my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I will also try to do a little substitute teaching on the side. Erik is working at Colloid, he drives a loader. He works a continuous work week, so he works 12 hour shifts and random days. But he likes it because he doesn't have to work more than 4 days a week, and once a month he gets 7 days off in a row! He really can't wait until hunting season because he will have 7 straight days to do nothing but HUNT!!

That is pretty much all i can think of right now!
