Look who's walking!

Thats right my baby is not a baby anymore.. she is a toddler! A couple weeks ago I was outside weeding my flower garden and she started to bear crawl because she didn't like the feel of the grass or cement on her knee's and then all the sudden she stood up. She thought that was pretty neat, and kept on standing up on her own. The next day we were out side again on the lawn (because she LOVES to be outside, she is like a dog when you open the door she gets over there as fast as she can) she started to stand up again on her own and took her very first steps all by herself. She practiced and practiced all week long then on Tuesday (6/23/09) she walked half way across the living room and then Sunday(6/28/09) she was walking across the living room and back! She walks with her arms stretched out in front of her and a big smile on her face :)
In this next picture if you look closely there is a bird wing connected to a fishing pole line inbetween the puppy and Lauren. This is used to train puppies how to "point" when they see a pheasent or whatever. Erik got it out to show his dad how advanced he thinks his puppy is and come to find out, Lauren is just as advanced as the puppy! So this is a picture of Lauren and Ginger on Point!
Two Saturday's ago (6/20/09) Erik wanted to go fishing, so he took Lauren and I to Sunshine Resevoir (what a happy name!) in Meeteese. Lauren and I didn't do much fishing, but we still had a good time!
When we got their Lauren had to check the place out with her new walker (it's an early birthday present, I couldn't wait!)

She thought that was pretty fun, however was a little mad becasue the ground was not flat and was kind of hard to get over the bumps with the walker.
She did find one thing that she loved... playing in a bucket of water! She was really fasinated with that and would cry if I tried to take her away!

Erik couldn't help but to get Lauren a...

She had fun playing with it. We never tried it out, but she still had fun with it! Here she is checking everything out making sure it all works!

Then back to the water bucket but this time she was trying to lick the water off her hands (yuck) but I couldn't get her to stop and she was having a ball!

Then the first catch of the day came and Erik had to show Lauren.

she even got to touch it! She was in awe most of the time, but she didn't not like it and I think that made her dad proud!
Then it was time to pack up and go home because it started to rain. Lauren wasn't happy about leaving the bucket even though she spilled the whole bucket of water on her!
Lauren found out she loves to be in the drivers seat and knows how to turn on the windsheild wipers!

That is our last couple of weeks in a nutshell! Lauren's birthday is coming up on Thursday July 2nd! I have all the party plans ready and we will be celebrating it on the 4th! I am obiously more excited than her, but it is really fun to plan it for her! So hopefully I will post that a couple days after it happens and not a couple weeks!!
